Aníbal Pérez-Liñán is Professor of Political Science and a member of the Center for Latin American Studies at the University of Pittsburgh.  His research focuses on democratization, political institutions, and the rule of law in new democracies. He is the author of Presidential Impeachment and the New Political Instability in Latin America and Democracies and Dictatorships in Latin America: Emergence, Survival, and Fall (co-authored with Scott Mainwaring). He is the chief editor of Latin American Research Review, the journal of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA). 

Aníbal Pérez-Liñán es profesor de ciencia política y miembro del Centro de Estudios Latinoamericanos de la Universidad de Pittsburgh. Su trabajo se centra en temas de democratización, instituciones políticas, y estado de derecho en nuevas democracias. Es autor de Juicio político al presidente y nueva inestabilidad política en América Latina y de Democracies and Dictatorships in Latin America: Emergence, Survival, and Fall (con Scott Mainwaring). Es editor de Latin American Research Review, la revista de la Asociación de Estudios Latinoamericanos (LASA).
